Katherine Gulley, M.Ed., BA, RCC, CCC

Katherine is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Certified Canadian Counsellor with over fifteen years of clinical experience.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria. Katherine began her career working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and joined Child and Youth Mental Health in 2007, where she worked as a mental health clinician for four years and a clinical supervisor for eight. She started her private practice in 2015, working with children, youth, adults, and families with concerns ranging from anxiety and depression to complex developmental trauma.

Katherine is a neurodiversity-affirmative therapist who focuses on strengths and building resilience. She is passionate about working with neurodiverse children, youth, and adults. She is especially interested in helping clients understand themselves in the context of their relationships and is passionate about developing resilience in children and youth.

Katherine is a certified coder of the Adult Attachment Interview and a certified trainer in Modified Interaction Guidance. She has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Complex Developmental Trauma and EMDR, Mentalization-Based Treatment, Suicide Risk Assessment, Mental Health Assessment, Expressive Therapies, Clinical Supervision, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
