Danielle is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and holds a Master of Counselling degree from City University. She takes an integrative and relational approach to counselling, meeting clients with warmth, empathy, curiosity, and humour.
Danielle’s background is in crisis intervention, working with both the Canadian Mental Health Association and 988, the National
Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. She has completed extensive training in suicide risk assessment, non-suicidal self-injury, and collaborative safety planning. This work led to an understanding of occupational trauma and secondary traumatic stress, and Danielle has additional
experience supporting trauma-exposed professionals and first responders.
Danielle’s practice is trauma-informed and grounded in attachment theory, drawing on somatic therapies, trauma focused CBT, and DBT. When working with younger clients, she utilizes play therapy and collaborates with both parents and children to support communication, expression, and emotional regulation.
Danielle’s areas of focus include navigating parenthood, complex and occupational trauma, life transitions, and grief. She is currently
accepting new clients. Contact to book at 604.989.0559 or email at danielle@thriveclinical.ca.
