Danielle Rayner is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and holds a Master of Counselling degree from City University.
She takes an integrative, relational, and trauma-informed approach to therapy, meeting clients with empathy, curiosity, and humour. Danielle works collaboratively with clients towards meaningful healing and lasting change.
Trauma-Informed Counselling
Danielle's professional background includes crisis intervention with the Canadian Mental Health Association and the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Through this work, she completed extensive training in suicide risk assessment, non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI), collaborative safety planning and non-violent crisis intervention.
Her experience supporting individuals in crisis has also led to additional work with first responders, healthcare professionals, and individuals experiencing burn out, compassion fatigue, and secondary traumatic stress.
Therapeutic Approach
Danielle's work is grounded in attachment theory and informed by an understanding of how trauma impacts the nervous system, relationships, and sense of self.

Supporting Children and Teens
When working with younger clients, Danielle incorporates play-based and developmentally appropriate approaches to help children express emotions, build coping skills, and strengthen emotional regulation.
She works collaboratively with both children and parents to support emotional expression, open communication skills, self esteem, and healthy family relationships.
